Who We Are — The p987 Team Behind Your Bets
Built by Filipinos who love sports and fair play. p987 started with a simple idea: give every Filipino player a platform that actually respects them.
Built by Filipinos who love sports and fair play. p987 started with a simple idea: give every Filipino player a platform that actually respects them.
Honest background, no marketing fluff. Just how we got here.
p987 was not built in a boardroom somewhere overseas with zero idea of what Filipino bettors actually need. It came out of real conversations — with basketball fans who were frustrated with offshore platforms that barely acknowledged Philippine timezones, with volleyball enthusiasts who couldn't find decent UAAP odds anywhere, and with casual casino players who wanted something they could trust with their GCash balance.
The people behind p987 understood that betting and gaming in the Philippines has its own rhythm. Payday is twice a month. Matchdays for UAAP land during the school week. PBA games run deep into the evening. Everyone is on their phone. These aren't quirks — they're the normal shape of Filipino daily life, and a platform that doesn't account for them is a platform that doesn't really work for its users.
From the start, the focus was on getting the fundamentals right: fast deposits via GCash and Maya, competitive odds on local leagues, a live casino with streams that actually load on mobile data, and a support team that responds in plain English without running you through three levels of automated replies first.
"We wanted to build something our own friends and family would actually use and trust — not just another generic offshore site wearing a Philippine flag."
— p987 Founding TeamOver the years, p987 has grown steadily, adding more sports markets, expanding the live casino lobby, improving mobile performance, and refining the payment process. But the core philosophy hasn't changed: everything is built around what makes sense for a Filipino player, not what's easiest for the platform to implement. That means peso-denominated accounts, local payment options with no conversion fees, and promotions tied to events Filipinos actually care about — from UAAP Finals to PVL Championship week to Pasko season specials.
Responsible gaming has also been part of the picture from the beginning, not bolted on as an afterthought. p987 provides deposit limits, session reminders, and self-exclusion tools directly in the account dashboard. These aren't buried in a help page — they're in your settings, one tap away, because the platform genuinely wants players to enjoy gaming sustainably over the long run, not burn out in a month.
Six principles that shape every decision we make at p987.
We publish our rules clearly, explain how odds work, and don't hide fees in the fine print. If something changes, we tell you up front.
Most players are on their phones using mobile data. Every feature at p987 is optimised for that reality — fast loads, clean UI, no app required.
Gaming should be fun, not stressful. We provide real tools — deposit caps, cool-down periods, self-exclusion — because player wellbeing comes before platform revenue.
GCash, Maya, BDO, BPI — all in Philippine Pesos, no conversion fees, fast processing. Your winnings should feel real and accessible, not locked behind foreign transfer processes.
p987 sets its lines to be genuinely competitive. We want players to feel the value in their bets, not constantly fight against margins that make winning feel impossible.
Live chat and email support staffed by people who understand Filipino context. No bot-only queues, no runaround. If you have a problem, we want to actually solve it.

Key milestones in the p987 story.
p987 goes live with a focused sports betting product, initially covering NBA and PBA. Early adopters appreciate the straightforward peso-denominated accounts and local payment support.
The live casino lobby launches with baccarat and roulette rooms. UAAP volleyball betting markets are added ahead of Season 81, responding directly to player demand.
Full redesign of the mobile interface. GCash integration goes live, reducing deposit processing time from minutes to seconds. Player registrations double within six months.
Over 200 slot titles added from leading game providers. The Refer a Friend program launches, rewarding the p987 community for growing the platform organically.
p987 crosses 500,000 registered accounts. International volleyball coverage expands to include full VNL and AVC markets, timed around the Philippine national team's strongest international campaign in years.
Platform enhancements across live betting speed, payment options, and responsible gaming tools. p987 continues to grow with Filipino players at the centre of every product decision.
A team that genuinely cares about the platform and the players on it.
Responsible for how p987 looks, feels, and performs on every screen size. They obsess over load times, bet placement flow, and mobile usability so you don't have to think about it.
Sets competitive lines across all sports, monitors live events, and adjusts in-play odds in real time. They're the reason your live bet reflects what's actually happening on court or pitch.
Live chat and email support, available around the clock. Filipino-context aware, helpful in plain English, and empowered to actually resolve issues rather than just log tickets.
Keeps account data encrypted, monitors for suspicious activity, and ensures p987 operates within the regulatory framework. They work quietly so your experience stays smooth and safe.
There's a difference between a platform that targets Filipino players and one that's genuinely embedded in Filipino life. p987 aims to be the latter.
Filipino culture around sports and gaming is intensely social. Betting on a PBA game with your officemates, watching UAAP Finals at a tambayan with everyone having something riding on the outcome, pooling knowledge about which volleyball team has momentum going into the semis — this is how gaming actually happens here, and it's fundamentally different from how platforms designed for Western markets expect it to work.
p987 accounts for that by keeping the experience lightweight enough to share. The Refer a Friend program rewards community behaviour — bringing people in you trust and vouching for the platform. Promotions follow the Philippine calendar, not just international event schedules. Customer support understands local payment rhythms, local league structures, and local questions.
The platform is not trying to change how Filipinos enjoy gaming. It's trying to provide a proper home for it — reliable, fair, and genuinely built with the local player in mind at every decision point. That's what p987 has been doing since the beginning, and it's what continues to drive every update and improvement going forward.
p987 believes gaming should be entertainment, not a source of financial stress. We've built deposit limits, session timers, cool-down periods, and self-exclusion directly into every account — accessible from settings without needing to contact support. We follow PAGCOR responsible gaming guidelines and encourage all players to use these tools proactively. If you or someone you know is struggling, please visit the Responsible Gaming page for resources and support options.
